About OUTBLAZE

Yat Siu is the Founder and CEO of Outblaze. In addition, Yat Siu is the Fonero Leader for the Asia region, leading efforts to grow the FON WiFi community and running FON's operations in Hong Kong. Yat serves on the board of directors for TurnOut Ventures, a joint venture between Turner Entertainment and Outblaze Investments. He also serves as a director for the Asian Youth Orchestra.

Yat began his technology career in 1990 working for Atari Germany. Three years later he joined Lexicor, a graphics software company based in Silicon Valley, as Director and Head of East Coast Operations. In 1996 Yat moved to Hong Kong to establish Hong Kong Cybercity, the first free web page and email provider in Asia. Later renamed Freenation, the service grew rapidly and was acquired by a US-based company. In 1997 Yat joined AT&T Solutions' System Integration practice, and left a year later to found Outblaze, a multiple award-winning company that pioneered cloud-like provision of multilingual white label web applications.

Yat holds a music degree from the Musik Konservatorium Wien. He has received multiple awards including the Standard Chartered Platinum Achievers Award, URENCO Innovation Award, 2006 Piaget Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship, and he was declared Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the DHL/SCMP 2009 Business Awards. The execution of Yat's vision has earned Outblaze several technology awards, including being named I.T. Company of the Year at Hong Kong's ComputerWorld Awards 2009.

In 2002, the World Economic Forum named Yat Siu a Global Leader of Tomorrow, and he was declared a Young Global Leader in 2006. He is a supporter of various NGO and charity organizations such the Asian Youth Orchestra, WITNESS, APCAUCE, the Salvation Army, the SPCA, the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, and others.
